Almost 20 years ago, in a cold and rainy November day I met a lady that was here in Italy to visit a farm. She gifted me with a videotape of her stallion. From the moment I saw that video I fell in love with this stallion and for 20 years I have dreamed of owning one of his daughters. That lady was famous breeder Marieta Salas and the stallion was the supreme El Perfecto. His influence in Europe began almost immediately when another important breeder and our dear friend, Ferdinand Huemer acquired El Perfecto from his breeders in 1990, to use in the breeding program of his farm, La Movida. The weaving together of friendships, passions, and a shared vision has brought to life a joy unimagined. Today, 20 years later, my dream mare is here with my family, playing in the field with my son, and I believe a new love is forming. Thank you to Ferdinand Huemer for realizing my dream and giving us the opportunity to let Batistah join our breeding program. This is a true gift for me and my family, a gift that makes me feel truly blessed.
